This is how I setup my dashboard, I use all the widgets:

This would be what I would suggest for an engineer, the top row gives the most important information, then the rest of the middle column lets me see if anyone is in the middle of changes or just made changes, and the right column has the information I need when calling support. But the bottom row is what an Analyst may want to swap for their top row.
